Abstract

Sociological researches from the period between 1980-85, coordinated by Prof. I. Aluas and configured by specialists in sociology, demography, human geography, economy, fruit-farming, agriculture, livestock-breeding, rural economy has called into being a regional monography of the Western Carpathians. In the zones (the Western Carpathians of Alba, Arad, Bihor, Cluj and Hunedoara) where the study was made valid scientific discourses have been elaborated which were not influenced by ideological means and these discourses were useful to a realistic perspective on some of the performances of Romanian sociology.
